Nak Carik Kain, Nak carik kain

KL trip was very fruitful. Thanks to WLT with her helpful tips. Terima kasih awak. :)

KL was really hot and over crowded, Jalan sini jam, jalan sana jam. Nak naik LRT pun jam. Sampai jammed kaki my mother cramp sebab lama sangat tunggu si LRT tu. But despite all the drama during the initial period of the trip alhamdullilah everything turn up well.
We bunked ourself at the Grand Millenium, takper, bulan 12 bonus. Splurge sikit, kasi the parents and the aunties feeling feeling datok and datins. Truth be told sebab Grand Millenium is just next to Pavillion. Nak borong forever 21, sana a bit cheaper den Singapore. Adding on the Y.E.S lagi. Tau tak Y.E.S tu apa? Year End Sale. Pandai.

First Stop - Jalan Masjid India and Jalan Tengku Abdul Rahman.
Di sini lah tempat berhantu utuk makcik macik yang giler kain. My mother kaki sakit pun jalan, bukan main lagi. Dah tak payah pimpin. Jalan sikit jer, orang pusing blakang dia hilang, jalan sikit dia hilang.

Brides to be disini lah tempat yang paling sesuai utk beli baju brides maid yg boriah tu, baju makcik makcik sepasang, baju cousins cousin sepasang, baju baju utk bffs sepasang, baju utk flower girls, baju utk makcik makcik marhaban sepasang.

As informed by WLT, Jalan Masjid India and Jalan Tengku Abdul Rahman ni actually in same area with lots of textile shops next to each other. the upscale ones are Euro Moda/Gulati's & Jakel, similar to JB's branch..except the choice here is more extensive... its 4 ker 5 storey high, puas lah carik kain. and there is this floor khas utk pengantin. Tak best ker tu.

And the price serious, tak der kedai kat arab street bleh menang. Trust me.

I bought my kain for nikah here. Cantik girl. Price not bad less than SGD 200, I've gotten myself kain for my baju kurung, tuns baju kurung and a free samping. Ni bukan samping keras yg jual kat bazaar geylang tau ni soft punya samping.

For mak cik makcik I wanted some printed kains, takkan nak pakai lace ker chiffon kan, jgn over....at jalan masjid india all kedai have, pilih je whichever within your budget..but the printed material I bought them at small shops betwen the lorong2..the price are a lot cheaper than the textile shop i mention earlier, but the quantity they have very limited...

Managed to get the baju for:-

Mum's Side:-
  1. Mak long
  2. Mak Ngah
  3. Cik Midah
  4. Cik Ita
  5. Nek Dok
  6. Nek Cu
Dad's side
  1. Cik Nah
  2. Mummy
  3. Cik Ona
  4. Cik Su
Total 10 pairs of kain baju kurung I spent less than SGD120. Serious, No Kidding, and its not obit at all. Kat gambar ni mcm orbit sikit, tapi ader kedai yg tak obit langsung.

So baju family for nikah,Checked. they will be wearing light purple. Baju family for sanding. Checked. Will be wearing black lace with maroon.

Since the tuns gave a few bucks to grab some stuffs, I managed to grab telekong for dulang. I noe its still early tapi dah kat sana and its cheap.  Grab ajer. I abit cerewet abt telekong I dun like alot of embroidery, very gatal and kasar. Ingat nak grab kan quran for dulang for the tuns but  when i called him, he said baik belikan dia muqadam. Nasib kat KL, so tak boleh gaduh on the fone, habis nanti bill melambong, without much said, I hang up the fone. A few second later I received an sms from him. A smiley face. :P Lagi lah darah I up.

So to turun kan darah yang dah tinggi ni, we relek one corner minum chendol and makan keropok lekor and cempedak goreng. Punya lah sedap.

Overall, it was a tiring tiring trip. Macam kalang kabut maybe sebab pergi ngan parents and auties so it slow us back a bit. Tapi memang puas hati. Ok kain for makciksss. Checked. Budget. Checked.

Next....
